Pongwe Beach Hotel is a medium sized hotel set on a sheltered bay on the east coast of Zanzibar.  The clear blue waters of the bay are protected by a reef one kilometre from shore and are ideal for swimming and snorkelling.   The relaxed atmosphere of this hotel makes it perfect for families.

The hotel has 16 traditional cottages set in beautiful gardens, either with a sea or garden view.  Each has an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, and also a small terrace for relaxing.

Locally produced food is served in the airy restaurant overlooking the beach and next to the large lounge/bar area. There is an infinity swimming pool surrounded by its own deck with sun loungers.

The friendly staff at Pongwe Beach Hotel are always willing to help and can organise trips including diving, local dhow safaris, sunset cruises or a trip around the island. The hotel also has its own long boat providing the ideal opportunity to go game fishing for tuna, barracuda, marlin and kingfish.
